Privacy, plainly.

Effective July 2026. Run by J&B Creations LLC, Michigan. Short version: we collect what a coffee order requires and nothing that would make a case file on you.

What we collect

Waitlist: your email, when you joined, and which link brought you (UTM tags), stored with your consent timestamp. This includes the notify-me form on a case-file page, where we also record which case code you scanned so we can tell you when that case opens. Orders: your email, shipping address, and what you bought, stored so we can fulfill and support your order. Payments: handled entirely by Stripe; card numbers never touch our servers.

Who touches it

Stripe (payments and subscriptions), our US roasting partner (name and address, to ship your order), Cloudflare (hosting), and Meta (advertising measurement, described below). Marketing email goes only to addresses that joined the list, and every message has an unsubscribe link that works the first time.

Ad measurement

We advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), so the store runs the Meta Pixel and sends matching events from our server through Meta's Conversions API. These record standard shopping actions: pages viewed, a product looked at, checkout started, and a purchase made, along with the coffee involved and the order value. When you buy, the server event also includes a one-way hashed copy of your email (scrambled so Meta cannot read the address itself), used only to match the sale to an ad. We do not send your name, your shipping address, or your card details to Meta. Both sides share an event id so a single purchase is counted once, not twice. To limit this, use your Meta ad preferences and your browser or device ad-tracking settings.

What we never do

No selling your data, no data brokers, no profile on you beyond what a coffee order and that one ad-measurement pixel need. The eerie surveillance aesthetic is set dressing; the actual data practice is boring on purpose.

Your moves

Email [email protected] to unsubscribe, see what we hold on you, or have it deleted. Deletion requests clear our records within 30 days, except order history we must keep for tax and accounting law.
